Years ago, when I was in graduate school, I had a dream of opening my own practice. Then, once I started working for an agency, I thought maybe that was it for me. I really loved the people I worked with and the support they offered, and I thought it could be where God wanted me permanently. I researched the cost of opening my own practice, and it seemed like it just wasn't "in the cards".
Fast forward to now - The perfect deal practically fell in my lap, and it all came together beautifully, and here we are! I now own and run my own practice. I am the sole provider there, and while I do miss the people I worked with, I enjoy being out on my own.
After about a month of renovations, my practice is now open for business!
The moral of the story is this: If you have a dream, don't be discouraged if it doesn't pan out right away. Sometimes it has to sit there for some time while all the details get worked out and the right thing comes along. It doesn't mean you won't get there, it just means it's not time yet. So hang on tight and keep pushing on, and soon enough you will see your dream come to fruition.
